Wildlife and bird watching (including the local elk & deer herds), hiking and biking, rock climbing, rafting, fishing, 4-wheeling, horseback riding and fishing  in the lakes,creeks, andfly fishing on our Gold Medal waters. Like the idea of a town with NO stoplights and are tried of the big city resort towns? That's South Fork, a small town but rich with outdoor recreaction.You may want to take the short, 20-minute drive to Creede. This historic mining town offers an Underground Mining Museum and the Creede Historical Museum, the nationally recognized Creede Repertory Theatre, and a whole array of quaint shops and beautiful art galleries.

Things to do in South Fork, Colorado

A full day trip might take you to Lake City and American Basin to see the spectacular wildflowers, Mesa Verde National Monument, the Great Sand Dunes National Monument and Hot Springs Swimming Pool, to ride on the Cumbres & Toltec Scenic Railway, visit to Wheeler Geological Site or maybe a trip over Engineer or Cinnamon Pass. Pagosa Springs is just over Wolf Creek Pass and offers an amazing Hot Springs Resort, and an array of dining and shopping opportunities.
